Tor
The Tor is a castle on the southern coast of the Sea of Dorne, seat of House Jordayne since the family raised it during the Andal invasion.
Its name is tied to the First Dornish War, when it changed hands more than once within days and was later scarred by dragonfire.

During the Andal invasion, House Jordayne settled on this headland along the southern coast of the Sea of Dorne and ruled from it as kings in their own right, one of several petty Dornish realms of that age.
Chapter 2
The taking of the Tor

In 4 AC, with the First Dornish War underway, Aegon Targaryen took the castle almost without a fight: Lord Jordayne had died shortly before, and the steward left in charge offered no resistance. The king pressed on to Sunspear before turning back to King's Landing.
The victory did not last. Within a fortnight the Dornish retook the Tor along with the other captured strongholds and wiped out the royal garrisons Aegon had left behind.
Chapter 3
Vhagar's fire

Four years later, in 8 AC, with the war still raging, Queen Visenya Targaryen returned to Dorne riding Vhagar.
She burned Sunspear, Lemonwood, Ghost Hill, and the Tor itself, in retaliation for Dornish raids on the Cabo de la Ira and la Selva.
