Dorea Sand is one of the bastard daughters that Prince Oberyn Martell had with Ellaria Sand, and she is counted among the so-called Sand Snakes. She shares with her sisters the bastard surname of Dorne and the blood of a father whose shadow looms over House Martell's politics.
Far less is recorded of her than of her older sisters, but her place in the family is enough for Dorne's story to run through her too.

Oberyn Martell
Ellaria SandDorea was born in the year 292, an acknowledged daughter of Prince Oberyn Martell and Ellaria Sand. Like the rest of Oberyn's daughters, she carries the surname Dorne reserves for its bastards and is counted among the Sand Snakes.
Little else is known of her looks beyond one inherited trait: her eyes are shaped just like her father's, a mark she shares with her sisters.

Confined to the Water Gardens

After Oberyn's death, Prince Doran had the older Sand Snakes arrested to cut short their plans for revenge. As a precaution, Dorea was sent along with her mother and younger sisters to the Water Gardens, away from any conspiracy underway.
There Dorea took up a pastime not exactly fit for a court: swinging her flail through the orange trees to knock down the fruit.
