Quiet Isle
la Isla Tranquila
The Quiet Isle is a small island at the mouth of the Trident, in Crabs Bay, functioning in practice as a monastery of the Faith of the Seven.
Its few inhabitants are men and women seeking to atone for their sins in silence, under the guidance of a holy man known as the Elder Brother, and the isle became known for sheltering travelers passing through lands ravaged by war.

A monastery at the mouth of the Trident
Books only
The isle rises over the lower course of the Trident, south of Saltpans, ringed by marshes the tide uncovers and fishponds at its base. On its hillside opens the Hermit's Hole, a cave that was home to the first holy man to settle there, furnished with driftwood.
Atop the hill, a low dry-stone wall encloses a cluster of buildings and a windmill; the wooden sept has leaded glass windows, doors carved with the images of the Mother and the Father, and a seven-sided bell tower. Those who come to the isle are usually penitents under a vow of silence, though some women harmed by the war or by illness, and their children, are allowed to stay.
Chapter 2
Brienne's visit
Books only
During the war that follows Joffrey's death, Brienne of Tarth reaches the isle with Septon Meribald, Podrick Payne, and Ser Hyle Hunt to speak with the Elder Brother. Together they discuss what happened at Saltpans and the state of the war in the region.
When the rest of the group leaves, the Elder Brother stays alone with Brienne and asks her about the reason for her quest: finding Sansa Stark.

PositionWe worked it out
The position was inferred from the label on the base map rather than from a symbol of its own: it marks the area, not the point.
