Valysar
Valysar is a walled city on the western bank of the Rhoyne, now under the rule of Volantis. It began as a colony of the Valyrian Freehold and, like the other river cities, was shaped by the wars fought between the Rhoynar and the Valyrians.
Chapter 1
Between Selhorys and Volon Therys

Valysar stands on the western bank of the Rhoyne, between Selhorys to the north and Volon Therys downriver to the south. Its walls place it among the lesser river cities, now answering to Volantis.
Chapter 2
From Valyrian colony to Garin's prize

The city began as a colony of the Valyrian Freehold, planted on land that had once belonged to the Rhoynar. When the Rhoynar and the Valyrians went to war, Valysar sat inside the contested ground.
During the Second Spice War, Prince Garin seized the city for his side.
