Andrew Estermont
Ser Andrew Estermont is a knight of the island of Estermont, the only son of Ser Lomas Estermont. As a young man he served as squire to Stannis Baratheon, and that early bond shaped the rest of his life: when the realm split apart in the War of the Five Kings, he was among the knights who stood behind Robert's younger brother.
Chapter 1
The stormlord's squire
Books only
When Stannis claimed the crown for himself and the War of the Five Kings broke out, Andrew was among the first knights to swear him loyalty. His old lord had kept him close since the years he carried his shield, and that closeness weighed more than the doubts other great lords held about Dragonstone's claim.
Chapter 2
Trust after the Blackwater
Books only
After the defeat at the Battle of the Blackwater, Stannis lost most of the men who had followed him to Dragonstone, and Andrew was among the handful who kept his trust. He was one of those who backed Davos Seaworth's plan to spirit Edric Storm, Robert's bastard son, off the island.
Andrew was part of the escort that carried the boy away from Dragonstone aboard the Loco Prendos, keeping him beyond reach of Melisandre's blood rituals.
Chapter 3
At sea and in the shadows
Books only
While other battles for the throne were still being fought, Andrew kept crossing the narrow sea with his charge, without a fixed harbor, keeping him away from anyone who might use him.
Later the two of them ended up hidden in the Free City of Lys, together with the rest of those sworn to protect him, far from Westeros and the war.
Chapter 4

Those who describe him speak of a tall man with a long, pointed beard and thick, dark eyebrows.
