Marya Seaworth

Marya Seaworth is the wife of Davos Seaworth, the smuggler turned knight in the service of Stannis Baratheon.

The daughter of a carpenter, she became Lady of La Selva and mother to her husband's seven sons, and lived on Cape Wrath while he sailed far away in his lord's service.

Marya was born the daughter of a carpenter, with no lineage beyond that trade.

She married Davos, a smuggler of some renown in his day, and bore him seven sons: Dale, Allard, Matthos, Maric, Devan, Stannis, and Steffon.

Lady of La Selva

Davos was knighted by his lord and given a keep with lands on Cape Wrath in return, and with them came Marya's own title, Lady of La Selva.

She kept charge of those lands through her husband's long absences, as he served Stannis Baratheon far from the cape.

She is described as a plain woman, full of bosom and warm of smile. Hers is the line: "Only a man who is starving begs bread of a beggar."
