House Crakehall of Crakehall is a noble house of the Westerlands, sworn to the Lannisters of Casterly Rock. Its brindled black-and-white boar on brown marks it out among the banners of the region, and its members are known for an unusually sturdy build.
Tradition traces the house's line back to the age of the First Men, to a half-legendary hero who gave it its name.

According to legends of the Westerlands, the Crakehalls descend from a warrior called Crake the Boarslayer, who lived in the age of the First Men. From that distant origin the house is said to take both its name and the sturdy build that still marks its members.
