Sumner Crakehall

Sumner Crakehall was the Lord of Crakehall and head of his house. He is remembered chiefly for having kept a young Jaime Lannister as his squire for four years, a young man who would later save his life during a clash with the Kingswood Brotherhood.
Jaime as Squire
Jaime Lannister spent four years in his service as a squire at Crakehall, learning the ways of arms under his tutelage.
During a skirmish against the Kingswood Brotherhood, it was Jaime himself who spared Lord Sumner from certain death, an episode that would forever be tied to the name of the future Kingslayer.

Merrett Frey as Page
House Frey also placed one of its own under his roof: Merrett Frey arrived at Crakehall as a page, but Lord Sumner chose to raise him to squire instead.
The training went wrong when a mace blow to the head left Merrett unable to carry on with arms, and the lord of Crakehall sent him back to the Twins.
