Bay of Seals
la bahía de las Focas
The Bay of Seals opens along the eastern coast of the north of Westeros, running from the icy waters beyond the Wall down to the lands held by House Umber. On its shore stands Eastwatch-by-the-Sea, the Night's Watch castle turned toward the water, and within its waters lies the island of Skagos.
Wildlings cross this bay to raid Umber lands, and ships carrying messengers, pleas, and news between distant corners of the realm cross it too.
Chapter 1

Chapter 2
The Black Bird
Books only
The Black Bird, the largest galley belonging to the Night's Watch, sails across the bay bound for Braavos. Aboard are Maester Aemon, Samwell Tarly, and Gilly, carrying Dalla's son with her.
Chapter 3
The storm that sank the fleet
Books only
Twenty-nine ships under Salladhor Saan set out from the Wall on Stannis's orders, with Davos Seaworth aboard, bound for White Harbor to treat with Lord Wyman Manderly.
Crossing the bay they run into a storm: black skies, icy winds, and lashing rain harry them the whole way down the coast. The galleys Oledo and Old Mother's Son smash apart on the rocks of Skagos, and the great cog Saathos Saan founders off the Grey Cliffs.
What we are not sure about
PositionWe worked it out
The position was inferred from the label on the base map rather than from a symbol of its own: it marks the area, not the point.
