House Tarth of Evenfall Hall
On this tab
House Tarth of Evenfall Hall rules the island of Tarth from its seat by the sea, north of Shipbreaker Bay, as a bannerman house to House Baratheon of Storm's End.
They descend from the Andals and keep a title few houses in Westeros can claim: Evenstar, a legacy from when their ancestors were kings in their own right.
Kings of Tarth
Before bending the knee to anyone, the lords of Tarth wore their own crown. From that era comes the title Evenstar, still given to the head of the house and said to date back to the Dawn Age.
The family claims kinship with the Durrandons, the old Storm Kings, and with the Baratheons who followed them. Later they would add a tie to House Targaryen to that list.

Betrothal of the Triplets
Under Aegon I's reign, the wife of the Lord Tarth of the time gave birth to three girls at once. Queen Rhaenys, always looking to weave alliances among the houses of Westeros, saw an opportunity in them and betrothed each one separately to the Hightowers, the Corbrays, and the Harlaws.
