Vaes Jini (Yinishar)

Vaes Jini is the Dothraki name for a ruined city in Essos, raised long before the horselords arrived, when it was called Yinishar. Its position where the Red Waste, the Dothraki Sea and the Bones meet made it a crossroads whose roads now lead only to an empty place.

Chapter 1

The city of goats

Books only

Before the Dothraki gave it a name, the city was called Yinishar and was home to people linked to Shamyriana. It stands where the Red Waste, Adakhakileki and the Sorrows meet, southeast of the Dothraki Sea and west of the Bones.

The Stone Road still runs through its ruins, leading to Vaes Mejhah in the west, Adakhakileki in the south and Shamyriana in the east. Its Dothraki name, Vaes Jini, joins the word for city with the word for goat.

Chapter 2

Years of war

Books only

Yinishar fell after years of war against the Dothraki, who eventually destroyed it. All that was left of the city were the ruins that now carry its new name.

The physical world

Por las ruinas pasa el Camino de la Piedra hacia Vaes Mejhah al oeste, Adakhakileki al sur y Shamyriana al este.

Geography · The Lands of Ice and Fire

El nombre de la ciudad es de origen Dothraki. Vaes significa ciudad y Jini significa cabra, por lo que se podría traducir como "ciudad de las cabras".
