Eddard Karstark
Eddard Karstark, fondly called Edd by his sister, was the youngest son of Lord Rickard Karstark, lord of Karhold. He was named for Eddard Stark, the house to which the Karstarks had owed loyalty for generations.
His story is that of one more man among those Winterfell called to arms when the War of the Five Kings broke out, and of a whole family placed in service to that cause.

The youngest son of Karhold

Eddard grew up as the youngest of Rickard Karstark's sons, lord of Karhold. His name honored Eddard Stark, in recognition of the bonds tying his house to Winterfell.
When Robb Stark called his bannermen, Eddard traveled to Winterfell together with his father and his two brothers to join the host that would march to war.
Chapter 2
The Battle of the Whispering Wood

Eddard was part of Robb Stark's personal guard during the Battle of the Whispering Wood. There he was killed by Ser Jaime Lannister.
Chapter 3
His father's revenge

Eddard's death, together with that of his brother Torrhen, drove Lord Rickard Karstark to take justice into his own hands. He killed two prisoners held in his custody, Willem Lannister and Tion Frey, in retaliation for the loss of his sons.
