Mormont was a woman of House Mormont who became Lady of Winterfell upon marrying Alaric Stark, lord of the castle during the reign of Jaehaerys I Targaryen.
She is remembered above all for a feat of her youth, from before she held any title, when she faced down a wolf pack alone with an axe.
Origins
Childhood
She would not be remembered as a lady, but as a brave one. At twelve, the girl who would later become Lady of Winterfell attacked a pack of wolves with an axe, killed two of them, and made herself a cloak from their pelts.

Marriage to Alaric Stark
In time she married Alaric Stark, lord of Winterfell during the reign of Jaehaerys I Targaryen, and bore him two sons and a daughter, Alarra. The marriage made her lady of the Starks' seat, a title that sat oddly beside the reputation she had earned as a girl.

She died in the year 55 after the Conquest. The cause of her death is not known.
