House Penrose of Parchments

Ronnel Penrose rose at court after marrying princess Elaena Targaryen. He held the office of Master of Coin, though it was common knowledge that his wife was the one actually running it.

Later, Aelinor Penrose married her own cousin, prince Aerys Targaryen, the same man who in time would wear the crown as Aerys I.

When the Blackfyre Rebellion broke out, the Penroses stood with King Daeron II and held that ground.

The cost came in a battle near the Mander: Ser Quentyn Ball killed nearly all of Lady Penrose's sons, sparing only the youngest out of regard for his mother.
