Basilisk Point

Basilisk Point is a headland on the northern coast of Sothoryos, a stretch of jungle that more peoples have passed through than have ever managed to stay.
Neither the Rhoynar who fled Valyria nor the Valyrians who later tried their own luck there managed to put down lasting roots in its soil.
Chapter 1
A headland among uncharted jungles

The headland faces the Summer Sea, with the Isle of Tears on one side and Naath on the other, and the Basilisk Isles somewhat further north. Jungle covers nearly all of it.
Further south, the coast stops having a name on any chart: no one has mapped it except the summer islanders, who keep their charts to themselves.
Chapter 2
Cities that never lasted
Books only
When Nymeria's fleet crossed the sea fleeing Valyria, some of the Rhoynar came ashore on this headland and built cities of their own. Slavers destroyed two of them, and those who remained eventually left the continent altogether.
Then came the turn of the Freehold of Valyria, which tried its luck three times in the same place. The Sothoryi razed the first city, plague took the second, and the third was left abandoned once the Valyrians, already holding Zamettar after the Fourth Ghiscari War, no longer needed it.
