Daemon III Blackfyre
Daemon III Fuegoscuro
Daemon III Blackfyre was heir to the Blackfyre pretenders to the Iron Throne, born far from the Seven Kingdoms after the defeats his house had already suffered.
Crowned king by Bittersteel, he led the Fourth Blackfyre Rebellion, his exiled line's attempt to reclaim the crown with the backing of the Golden Company.
Chapter 1
The heir in exile
Books only
Daemon was born outside the Seven Kingdoms, in the exile that had followed the Blackfyres for generations. He was the eldest son of Haegon Blackfyre, and when his father died he inherited a cause that had already failed twice before.
Ser Aegor Rivers, the most influential of the family's supporters, was captured around that time. He was being shipped toward Eastwatch-by-the-Sea, on the Wall, but was freed before he arrived and made his way back to Tyrosh. There, Bittersteel crowned Daemon king of the Seven Kingdoms.
Chapter 2
The Fourth Blackfyre Rebellion

Daemon gathered the Golden Company and landed at Massey's Hook, carrying the crown Bittersteel had given him. Few in the Seven Kingdoms rallied to him; from the outset, the rebellion was a small one.
King Aegon V Targaryen rode out to meet him, his three sons riding at his side. The armies clashed at the bridge over the Wendwater, and there Ser Duncan the Tall, a knight of the Kingsguard, killed Daemon in battle. His death ended the rebellion he had led.
