House Ironsmith

The Ironsmiths are recorded as a house sworn to the Boltons, one of the minor lords bound to Dreadfort authority in the North. Nothing is known of when they swore that loyalty or where their seat might lie; no source credits them with one.

What survives is their coat of arms: a sword palewise between four horseshoes, all in black, on a field of gold bordered in ash grey. The design echoes the smith's trade the house's name recalls, though the blazon itself comes from sources considered only semi-canonical within the saga's tradition.
