House Lake

Not to be confused with House Lake (Dorne).
House Lake is a minor noble family of the North, sworn to House Bolton, with a lineage that traces back to the First Men.
A house of the same name also exists in Dorne, though it is unknown whether the two share a common origin or whether the name is simply a coincidence between two lineages separated by the length of Westeros.

Vassals of the Boltons

The Lakes are a minor northern house bound by oath of vassalage to House Bolton. Like much of the small nobility that survived in the North after the coming of the Andals, their ancestry is counted among the First Men.
Semi-canonical sources describe their coat of arms: seven green roundels, arranged in rows of two, two, two and one, on a tawny field.

The other Lake, in Dorne
Books only
At the other end of Westeros there existed a second House Lake, this one Dornish. There is no record of any link between the two, and it is unknown whether they share a common root or whether the name arose separately in each region.
