Steffon Connington

Steffon Connington was the second son of the Lord of Griffin's Roost, during the reign of Aegon III Targaryen. He had made a name for himself fighting beside Lord Borros Baratheon in the campaign against the Vulture King, a reputation that led to marriage with the widowed regent of Storm's End.
His marriage to Lady Elenda Caron was meant to curb the Dornish raids and the outlaws harrying the Stormlands while young Lord Royce Baratheon was still a child.
Marriage to Elenda
By 132 AC the Stormlands were in trouble: Dornishmen crossed the border with growing frequency, and bands from the Kingswood spread disorder along the roads. Storm's End was still ruled by Lady Elenda Caron in the name of her son Royce Baratheon, too young yet to wield his house's sword.
Widowed and in need of a strong hand to restore order, Lady Elenda sought a husband. She chose Ser Steffon Connington, second son of the Lord of Griffin's Roost, twenty years her junior but already seasoned from Lord Borros Baratheon's campaign against the Vulture King. He was said to be as bold as he was handsome.

The peace Ser Steffon was meant to secure cost him his life the following year. Chasing down a small band of Dornish raiders through the Marches, he fell at the hands of Wyland Wyl.
