Royce Baratheon

Royce was born at Storm's End seven days after his father died in the Battle of the Kingsroad, fighting in the Dance of the Dragons. He was the fifth child of Borros Baratheon and Elenda Caron, and the only son: his four sisters, Cassandra, Floris, Maris, and Ellyn, were all older than him. With his birth he became, before he had even opened his eyes, Lord of Storm's End.

His father had wanted him named Aegon, after the king the Baratheons were fighting for. But when the time came, it was his mother who chose the name, and she picked her own father's: Royce. So the story is told by Maester Gyldayn.
