Casa Bolling

House Bolling is a knightly house of the Stormlands, sworn to House Baratheon.

Its coat of arms carries the mark of a bastard origin tied to the Durrandon, the old Storm Kings.

Chapter 1

A shield that gives away an origin

The Bolling shield bears a golden stag on a black canton, crossed by a bend, all set on a field vairy of tenné and azure. The stag's colors are the reverse of those used by the Durrandon, and the bend across it is the heraldic mark of bastardy.

That combination points to a founder who was a Durrandon bastard: either a direct descendant of a Storm King, or the descendant of an earlier bastard of that same line. No seat of their own is known for the Bollings, and nothing more is recorded of them beyond this coat of arms and their standing as Baratheon vassals.
