House Lonmouth
Casa Lonmouth
House Lonmouth is a noble family from the Stormlands, sworn to House Baratheon, whose arms combine red lips and gold skulls on opposing fields. No source assigns it a seat of its own, but two of its knights became bound to some of the most remembered names in Westerosi history: a close companion of Laenor Velaryon and a squire to Rhaegar Targaryen.
Chapter 1
The wounded champion
Books and show
Ser Joffrey Lonmouth, known as the Kissing Knight, was one of Laenor Velaryon's closest friends and once fought in his name as his champion at a tournament. In that same joust, Ser Criston Cole's morningstar dealt him a mortal wound, and Joffrey never regained consciousness: he died six days later.
Laenor later honored his memory by giving his own son the same name, Prince Joffrey Velaryon, in remembrance of the man rumor named as his lover.
Chapter 2
Rhaegar's squire
Books only
Ser Richard Lonmouth served as squire and close friend to Prince Rhaegar Targaryen. At the Tournament of Harrenhal, Robert Baratheon beat a Lonmouth knight in a drinking contest, almost certainly Richard himself.
