Durrandon
Durrandon was Prince of the Storm, son of King Arlan III Durrandon. His marriage to Shiera Blackwood, eldest daughter of the lord of Raventree Hall, sat at the centre of a plan to rule the Riverlands that the river lords themselves ended up rejecting.
Chapter 1
A marriage between houses

Durrandon was a son of Arlan III Durrandon, King of the Storm, though it is not known whether he was his heir or a younger son. He married Shiera Blackwood, eldest daughter of Lord Roderick Blackwood, lord of Raventree Hall.
His father, in turn, took one of Lord Roderick's younger daughters as his own wife, binding the two houses together.
Chapter 2
The rule the rivers refused

After the Battle of the Six Kings, Arlan III considered returning the rule of the Riverlands to House Blackwood, but he did not trust Lord Roderick's brothers, nor his heir, an eight-year-old boy.
He proposed instead that Shiera and Durrandon himself should rule, but the river lords rejected the idea. Faced with their refusal, Arlan chose to conquer the riverlands and add them to the Storm Kingdom.
