Jonah Mooton
Jonah Mooton was heir, and later lord, of Maidenpool. As a young man he belonged to the inner circle of friends of Princess Saera Targaryen, at the court of Jaehaerys I, a friendship that would drag him into the scandal that shaped the rest of his life.

While still heir to Maidenpool, Jonah Mooton belonged to the closest circle of friends of Princess Saera Targaryen, alongside Roy Connington, Braxton Beesbury and Perianne Moore.
They shared banquets, hunts and outings through the city, and once sailed together across Blackwater Bay to Dragonstone.
Chapter 2
The Blue Pearl scandal

Jaehaerys I TargaryenTwo years later, Jonah, Roy and Braxton were found drunk at the Blue Pearl, a brothel in King's Landing, laughing while the king's fool was surrounded by prostitutes. When the City Watch found them, Jonah declared, laughing, that it had all been Princess Saera's idea.
Questioning of the young women in the group revealed that Saera had forced them to sleep with her friends, and the three men were thrown into the dungeons.
Before Jaehaerys I, Saera defended herself by saying Jonah had told her he loved her, and confessed she had given her virginity to all three, letting each believe he had been the first. She even proposed marrying all three, as King Maegor I had once done with his six wives, which only enraged the king further.

Lord of Maidenpool

To settle the scandal, a hasty marriage was arranged between Jonah and Perianne Moore. Against expectations, the union worked, and the two ruled Maidenpool together as its lords.
Later, when Saera Targaryen escaped her confinement at Oldtown, King Jaehaerys I entrusted Jonah and Perianne with watching over the princess.
