Samantha Stokeworth
Samantha Stokeworth was one of the two or three people the widowed queen Rhaena Targaryen never went anywhere without. The daughter of an Alyn Stokeworth who had served as Hand of the King, she entered Rhaena's life as a lady-in-waiting and stayed at her side through the years the queen spent looking for somewhere to settle after being widowed.

Samantha's father, Lord Alyn Stokeworth, had been a trusted man of Aegon I Targaryen and briefly held the same post under the king's heir, Aenys I. That closeness to the crown opened doors for Samantha, who in time won a place among the ladies closest to Princess Rhaena Targaryen.
Early in the year 49 AC, the widowed queen Rhaena married Androw Farman in a small, hastily arranged wedding. Samantha, together with Alayne Royce, dropped everything to reach Fair Isle in time for it.
She stayed on the island as part of the queen's household. Together with Alayne Royce and Elissa Farman, she formed a trio so close that Androw's own brother, Ser Franklyn Farman —heir to Lord Marq Farman— nicknamed them "the Four-Headed Beast". It was also on Fair Isle that Rhaena would take her flying on the back of Dreamfyre.
The stay ended in 50 AC, when Franklyn inherited Fair Isle on his father's death and threw Rhaena and her people off the island. Samantha left the next morning with Androw, Alayne, and the rest of the household —more than forty people— and although Franklyn tried to force his own sister Elissa to stay behind, the group sailed unharmed for Lannisport.
Chapter 2
Poison at Dragonstone

After a stop in Lannisport, the group spent a while as guests at Casterly Rock. There, a septa of the castle asked Samantha whether Rhaena's marriage to Androw had truly been consummated, and who had witnessed the bedding.
By 54 AC, Samantha was among the handful of ladies still with Rhaena, by then settled with her small court at Dragonstone.
She died there that same year, felled by a strange sickness that also killed other women of the queen's household. Only later was it learned that it had been no illness at all, but poison —tears of Lys— given to her by Androw Farman himself. She is remembered, besides, as a big woman who was hard to miss for how loud she was.
