Chapter 2
A betrothal for peace
Books only
After King Tommen grants a pardon to White Harbor, a marriage is arranged between Wynafryd and the widowed Rhaegar Frey, part of the settlement that seals peace between House Manderly and House Frey.
When Lord Davos Seaworth arrives at Merman's Court, her sister Wylla publicly accuses the Freys of murdering Eddard Stark, Catelyn Tully, and King Robb Stark, and demands that White Harbor join Stannis Baratheon to avenge them. Wynafryd dismisses her sister's demand as a childish whim and presents herself to everyone as content with her betrothed.
Chapter 3
The betrothal that was never meant to be kept

Lord Wyman Manderly, after staging Davos's execution and secretly freeing him from the Wolf's Den, tells him that he had already let Wynafryd in on his plans: she has known from the start that the wedding to Rhaegar will never take place.
The betrothal ends when Rhaegar dies, reportedly, while traveling to Winterfell.
