Robb Rivers

Robb Rivers, a bastard son of House Blackwood, was known as the Archer of Raventree Hall, after his lords' castle in the Riverlands. During the Dance of the Dragons he put three hundred archers at the service of Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen, joining the forces of Lord Roderick Dustin and Lord Forrest Frey.

At the battle of the Lake, Lord Lefford loosed ravens asking Prince Aemond Targaryen for aid from Harrenhal. None reached him: Robb's archers brought them down one by one in flight.

On the order of Pate of Longleaf, Robb and two of his archers took position on the cliffs and loosed three arrows at Ser Criston Cole. All three found their mark, and his death set off the slaughter history would remember as the Butcher's Ball.

The men of the Riverlands marched afterward on Ladera, to cut off the advance of Lord Ormund Hightower's army. Robb and his archers held the wall, covering the retreat of their own.

The battle turned when two of the defenders switched sides; the city fell, was sacked, and its defenders put to the sword. Robb is believed to have died along with his archers in the firestorm the dragons Vermithor and Silverwing unleashed upon the walls.

He was remembered as the finest archer of his age, and as the man who had killed Ser Criston Cole. After his death, the title of best shot in House Blackwood's service passed to Billy Burley.
