Battle of Riverrun
batalla de Aguasdulces
The Battle of Riverrun was the clash in which Jaime Lannister broke Tully resistance in the Riverlands, soon after his victory at Golden Tooth.
With Edmure Tully captured and Riverrun under siege, the region was left without an army of its own to defend it, and the war moved on to be decided on other fronts.

After his victory at Golden Tooth, Jaime Lannister did not stop: he marched his men straight to Riverrun, where Edmure Tully was gathering his father's forces.
The clash beneath the castle walls went Jaime's way. The lords of the Riverlands were routed, and Edmure, along with many of his knights and bannermen, was taken prisoner. It was Tytos Blackwood who managed to get the survivors inside Riverrun before the castle was surrounded.
The defeat left the Riverlands without an army to protect them. Many of those who escaped the field fell back to their own strongholds, while Riverrun held out under siege with its heir in enemy hands. The only hope left lay with a northern army that, far from there, had blocked Tywin Lannister's second force at the Green Fork of the Trident.
