Aemond TargaryenRiding Vhagar, Prince Aemond Targaryen sweeps over the Riverlands and puts to the torch the towns and holdfasts that had declared for Rhaenyra. Darry burns, and so does the village founded by Lord Harroway, along with Lagobarro, Vadopuerco, Cabeza de Piedra, Barcoviejo, and many smaller river settlements, until close to twenty places lie in ashes.
Vhagar does in days what no army could manage in months: barn after barn, wharf after wharf reduced to cinders, with no one on the ground able to stop her. The fire falls while the Dance of the Dragons still rages on other fronts, and it stands as a warning to the river houses still weighing which side to follow.
