Desmera Redwyne
Desmera Redwyne was born in 283 AC at the Arbor, the youngest daughter of Lord Paxter Redwyne and Lady Mina Tyrell, and younger sister to Horas and Hobber. Her name rarely appears by her own doing; it turns up instead in other people's plans, offered twice as a bride for political convenience, with no say of her own either time.
Little else is recorded about her: the chronicles describe her as a freckled young woman, and that is where their account of her looks or temperament ends.
Chapter 1
The page who never became a suitor
Books only
Lord Randyll Tarly had a plan for his eldest son: Samwell would serve as a page under Lord Paxter Redwyne at the Arbor, and in time that service would grow into a betrothal to Desmera. The plan fell apart before it could take hold.
Horas and Hobber, Desmera's brothers, spent the visit tormenting the boy, and Randyll ended up taking Sam back to Horn Hill before any marriage was even raised.
Chapter 2
The betrothal the Red Wedding undid
Books only
Years later, Lord Paxter tried again, negotiating a marriage between Desmera and Daven, the son of Stafford Lannister. The arrangement depended on a political balance that the Red Wedding blew apart.
With House Frey's standing strengthened by the massacre, Daven ended up betrothed to one of their own ladies instead, and the match with Desmera came to nothing.
