Runceford Redwyne was Lord of the Arbor and head of House Redwyne during the reign of Aegon V Targaryen.
His place in the history of Westeros comes from a marriage negotiation that tied his daughter to the royal house, a pact that shaped both families for years. Long afterward, a barrel from his old cellars turned up again, far from the Arbor and from his own time.
Olenna's Betrothal
In 237 AC, King Aegon V Targaryen and Queen Betha Blackwood discussed with Lord Runceford a match between his daughter Olenna and Prince Daeron. As Lord of the Arbor and head of House Redwyne, Runceford accepted the betrothal on his daughter's behalf.
The arrangement held for almost a decade, until in 246 AC Daeron himself withdrew and the betrothal came apart.
