Horas Redwyne
Ser Horas Redwyne is the son of Lord Paxter Redwyne, master of the Arbor, and of Lady Mina Tyrell, making him heir to one of the great houses of the Shield Islands and a cousin of House Tyrell of Highgarden.
Red-haired, square-faced and freckled, he is no beauty, and his own twin brother, Ser Hobber, nicknames him Horror. Much of his youth is spent away from home, first mocking others and later held as a hostage at the court in King's Landing.

Before Samwell Tarly ends up at the Wall, his father sends him to the Arbor to serve as a page. Horas and his twin brother Hobber take to mocking and humiliating him, using their position as the sons of the castle's lord.
Chapter 2
The Tourney of the Hand
Books only
Once in King's Landing, Ser Horas takes part in the Tourney of the Hand held in honor of Lord Eddard Stark. After King Robert Baratheon's death he remains in the capital instead of returning to the Shield Islands.

Myrcella BaratheonThe crown holds him hostage as a guarantee of his father Lord Paxter's good behavior. At the tourney held for King Joffrey Baratheon's nameday, he unhorses an aged knight bearing silver griffins on a field of blue and white stripes.
Together with Hobber he tries to slip out of the city aboard the galley Swift Moon, but Varys and Tyrion Lannister uncover the scheme before she can sail. Hobber is sent back to the Arbor as a token of good faith to his father; Horas remains held in the capital.
He takes part in the procession that sees Princess Myrcella Baratheon off to Dorne. When hunger sparks riots in the streets, he shields Lady Tanda Stokeworth from the mob, and is later wounded fighting in the Battle of the Blackwater.

Courting Queen Margaery's favor

Cersei LannisterHoras, his brother and their father attend Lord Tywin Lannister's funeral. Afterward, the twins visit Queen Margaery Tyrell often, bringing her fruit, flowers and lute music.
As part of her scheme to bring Margaery down, Queen Cersei Lannister has an arrest warrant drawn up against him. After his arrest he is lodged in comfortable rooms, kept apart from a proper cell.
