Durran XXIV Durrandon
Durran XXIV Durrandon was King of the Stormlands and head of House Durrandon, son of Maldon IV Durrandon.
He became known as the Halfblood for his mixed origin: born to a Storm King and an Andal woman, at a time when the invaders from across the Narrow Sea were still carving out a place for themselves in Westeros.

A king born of two bloods

Durran was born near the end of the Andal Invasion of the Stormlands, the son of King Maldon IV Durrandon and an Andal-born wife. That mixed parentage earned him the name he is remembered by, the Halfblood.
Once he came of age, he followed his father's example and took an Andal wife of pure blood as well. The practice spread beyond the royal house: through his reign and those that followed, Andal warlords who had come as invaders turned into lords and even petty kings, giving their daughters to lords of the Stormlands and taking wives from those same houses in return, while lending their swords to others in exchange for lands of their own.
