Qarlton II Durrandon
Qarlton II Durrandon was Storm King of House Durrandon, known as the Conqueror. His reign coincided with the Andal Invasion, and he was the first king of his line to face the invaders in pitched battle.
Under his command, House Durrandon completed the reconquest of Massey's Hook after besieging Ballarroca and killing its king.
Chapter 1
A king's grandson

Qarlton II Durrandon was the grandson of King Erich VII Durrandon and inherited the Storm throne during the Andal Invasion, when his house had already been fighting the newcomers for four generations.
It fell to him to become the first Storm King to face the Andals in pitched battle.
Chapter 2
The siege of Ballarroca
Books only
After besieging Ballarroca for a year, Qarlton II took the stronghold and killed its king, Josua Massey, head of House Massey. With that victory he completed the reconquest of Massey's Hook for House Durrandon.
Chapter 3
Losing the Hook, and the Andals arrive
Books only
The victory lasted little: within two years, Togarion Bar Emmon, husband to one of King Josua's daughters, defeated the Stormlander forces and placed Josua's own son in command. Soon after, Qarlton II again had to face the Andals, whose ships had begun landing on the shores of the Storm Kingdom.
On his death, the throne passed to his son, also named Qarlton.
