Arrec Durrandon

Arrec Durrandon was the last Storm King to rule the Riverlands, a domain his line had held for generations.

Under his reign that territory fell to an invasion from the sea, closing three centuries of Storm King control over the Trident.

Chapter 1

Heir to a three-century-old realm

Books only

Arrec rose to head House Durrandon bearing the title of King of the Storm, inheriting a territory his forebears had conquered three hundred years before: the Riverlands, watered by the Trident.

No other king of his house would hold that domain after him.

Chapter 2

The fall to the ironborn

Books only

The loss came at the Battle of Buenabasto, where the ironborn under Harwyn Hardhand wrested control of the Trident from him.

Arrec did not accept it: he raised forces to retake the region in two separate campaigns, and in neither did he succeed.
