Elenei

Legend places Elenei in the Age of Heroes, among the First Men, and names the god of the sea and the goddess of the wind as her parents. Durran, the man who would become the first Storm King, won her love and took her as his wife.

The match did not sit well above the clouds: Elenei's parents answered with a storm that struck the wedding castle and killed both the guests and Durran's own family.

Durran refused to accept the loss and declared war on the gods who had inflicted it. He raised castle after castle on the bay of Naufragios, each larger than the last, and each was brought down by the same fury that had killed his wedding guests.

Only the seventh castle held. Some say the Children of the Forest had a hand in building it; others say a boy who would come to be known as Brandon Stark the Builder gave counsel. With that stronghold standing, Durran's war against Elenei's gods came to an end.
