Erich VII Durrandon
Erich VII Durrandon was King of the Storm Lands of House Durrandon, ruling in the earliest days of the Andal Invasion. What matters about his reign is what he chose not to do: as the Andals began landing in Westeros, he kept his attention on his own wars within his own lands.

The wars that mattered to him

When the first Andals reached Westeros, Erich VII already had his hands full. The King of the Storm Lands was fighting two wars of his own: retaking the Massey Hook from the pirate king Justin Massey, and defending his lands against the raids of King Olyvar Yronwood. To the newcomers he replied that he had no interest in "the quarrels of foreigners in a distant land."
Known as the Unaware, Erich VII died around the time the Andals completed their conquest of the Vale.
