Hothor Umber

Hothor Umber held the title of Lord of Last Hearth and headed House Umber in the far north of the Seven Kingdoms. What is known of him comes mainly from the genealogical material produced for the television series, not from the novels of A Song of Ice and Fire, where his name does not appear.

Chapter 1

The son of Last Hearth

Hothor was born in the year 162 after the Conquest, at Last Hearth, the seat of House Umber in the far north of the realm. He was the son of Lord Daragh Umber and Lady Morag Umber, and himself went on to become Lord of Last Hearth, head of the house.

What survives of him is limited to physical description: blue eyes, brown hair, a ruddy complexion. There is no account of his deeds as lord, only the place he holds in his family's line.

Amarylis Manderly and the seven children

Hothor married Lady Amarylis Manderly. Together they had seven children: Harkon, Mycah, Lucan, Gareth, Joseth, Regan, and Corin.

No dates survive for the marriage or for the birth of any of the seven, so of that generation of Last Hearth only the names remain.
