Aeron Bracken
Aeron Bracken was a knight of House Bracken, nephew to its lord, who knighted him despite his mediocre horsemanship and swordsmanship. His name became tied to the old border dispute between the Brackens and the Blackwoods, a quarrel over boundary stones that turned ugly in the middle of the war for the Iron Throne.

Aeron was the nephew of the lord of House Bracken. He had a reputation as a poor rider and no great swordsman, yet his uncle knighted him anyway.

Rhaenyra TargaryenAt the edge of Bracken lands, Aeron and a group of young soldiers were moving the stones that marked the line with Blackwood territory. Davos Blackwood arrived with his own men and demanded they be put back. Aeron argued that Riverrun had ruled the land belonged to the Brackens, but Davos mocked Tully authority and claimed the ground for his own house. Aeron would not back down.
As he tried to leave, Aeron muttered something about the murder of Prince Jaehaerys, which Davos overheard and demanded he repeat. Frightened but unwilling to stay quiet, Aeron called Rhaenyra Targaryen a false queen and a kinslayer; Davos answered by naming Aegon II a usurper king and denying Aeron was even a knight. The shoving and insults ended with a sword drawn.
Davos laughed at him and dared him to strike. The fight that followed was quick and bloody: Aeron fell run through by his own blade, and with him ended the dispute over the stones. He died at Burned Mill.
