House Fowler of Skyreach

The Fowlers descend from the First Men who settled in Dorne and cut their halls into a great gap in the mountains, the Wide Way. Skyreach owes its name to that high perch and to the stone towers they raised there, and from it come the titles the house has kept ever since: Lords of Skyreach, Lords of the Wide Way, Kings of Stone and Sky.

When Nymeria led the Rhoynar into Dorne, King Garrison Fowler was defeated by her. The Fowlers soon joined her cause and that of House Martell, and together they fought King Yorick V Yronwood. Out of that clash grew a feud with House Yronwood, wardens of the Stone Way, that has never quite closed.

Over the centuries that old dispute was joined by skirmishes against the marcher lords to the north, uneasy neighbours on the far side of the mountains.

During the First Dornish War, Aegon I's host reached Skyreach and found it empty — its lords had abandoned the seat before the dragon king ever set foot in its halls.

The answer came in the year 10 after the Conquest, when Lord Fowler gathered an army and marched into the Dornish Marches. There he put the castle of Nightsong to the torch and carried off lords and defenders as hostages.

Jeyne and Jennelyn Fowler were with Nymeria Arena when word reached her of her father's death; the two sisters stayed by her side through it.

When Ser Balon Swann arrived at Sunspear with Ser Gregor Clegane's skull, Jeyne and Jennelyn Fowler were among those at the welcoming feast. When Ricasso raised his cup to toast King Tommen Baratheon, both sisters refused to drink.
