Maegon Targaryen was head of House Targaryen and Lord of Dragonstone.

He was the eldest son of Lord Aegon Targaryen and his sister-wife, Lady Elaena, a marriage practice common among the Targaryens to preserve their bloodline.

Birth and Inheritance

Maegon was born of the marriage between Lord Aegon Targaryen and his own sister, Lady Elaena, the kind of union the dragon's house repeated to keep its blood among its own.

As the elder son, he inherited from his father the lordship of Dragonstone, and with it the headship of House Targaryen.

Death Without Heirs
