Vaella Targaryen was the youngest daughter of King Aenys I Targaryen and Queen Alyssa Velaryon, born in the year 39 after the Conquest.
She died as a newborn, and her death left a lasting mark on her mother, who afterward grew afraid of having more children she might lose.

Vaella was born in 39 AC, the third daughter and sixth child of King Aenys I Targaryen and Queen Alyssa Velaryon, coming after her older siblings Aegon, Rhaena, Viserys, Jaehaerys, and Alysanne. Her birth proved to the realm that Alyssa could still bear children.
The princess died only a short time after she was born. Her mother, shaken by the loss, grew afraid of having more children, fearing they too might die in infancy. In time, Alyssa would go on to have two more children, these with her second husband, Lord Rogar Baratheon.
