The Battle of the Reeds was fought on the southern shore of Gods Eye during Aegon Targaryen's War of Conquest. It pitted Aegon's own forces against men sent by Harren Hoare, lord of the Kingdom of the Isles and the Rivers.

On the southern shore of the Gods Eye, the men Harren Hoare sent against Aegon met defeat. It was one of the clashes of the War of Conquest, and the outcome fell clearly to the Targaryen side.
The victory did not end the struggle against Harren: soon after, the Targaryens would pay dearly in another encounter, the Battle of the Wailing Willows, suffering heavy losses of their own.
