Aegon Targaryen was the third son of King Aerys II Targaryen and his sister-wife, Queen Rhaella Targaryen. He was born early and did not live to see his first year.

Aegon was born in the year 272, two months before he was due. He was the third son of Aerys II and Rhaella, siblings and rulers of the Seven Kingdoms.
He did not live to see a second year: he died in 273, shortly after turning one.
