Prentys Tully
Prentys Tully was head of House Tully, Lord of Riverrun and Lord Paramount of the Trident during the reigns of Maegor I and Jaehaerys I Targaryen.
He served as Councillor of Edicts during Jaehaerys I's minority, and had a hand in the marriage that joined the king with his sister, Alysanne Targaryen.

The first to leave

Prentys Tully headed House Tully and ruled Riverrun and the Trident as loyalty to Maegor I Targaryen began to crack among the great lords. He was one of the first to turn his back on the king, before most of the realm followed suit.
Chapter 2
The councillor who married off a king

Jaehaerys I TargaryenAfter Maegor I's death, Lord Prentys served as Councillor of Edicts to the young Jaehaerys I Targaryen, still a minor. In that post he proposed a marriage for the king; the match that eventually took place was with Jaehaerys's own sister, Alysanne Targaryen.
When the king came of age and took up rule himself, in 50 AC, he thanked Lord Prentys for his years of service and replaced him with Lord Albin Massey.
Chapter 3
A tourney for ten years on the throne

In 58 AC, long out of court, Lord Prentys travelled to King's Landing to attend a tourney marking ten years since Jaehaerys I's coronation.
Chapter 4
The shivers
59 ACBooks only
A year after the tourney, in 59 AC, Lord Prentys died at Riverrun of a fever known as the shivers. His wife died of the same illness a day later.
