House Qoherys of Harrenhal

House Qoherys was the first to hold Harrenhal after the fall of the Hoares, and also one of the shortest-lived: only two lords held the castle before the line died out.
Its history is one of an attempt to put down political roots in the Riverlands, sealed with a marriage to the Tullys of the Trident, which was not enough to give the house any lasting continuity.
Chapter 1
The master-at-arms who inherits a cursed castle

Quenton Qoherys served as master-at-arms of Dragonstone and was of Valyrian descent when the war came that would see the Targaryens take Westeros.
Once the fighting ended, King Aegon I granted him the lordship of Harrenhal following the death of Harren Hoare, the king who had built the castle. Quenton thus became the first Qoherys to rule it.
Chapter 2
A line of two lords

To secure his standing among the realm's new lords, Quenton married one of the daughters of Lord Edmyn Tully, Lord Paramount of the Trident.
His grandson Gargon was the second and last Qoherys to rule Harrenhal: with him the line died out, and the castle and its lands then passed to House Harroway.
