Oscar Tully

Oscar was the second son of Lord Elmo Tully of Riverrun, behind his elder brother Kermit. As a second son he carried a prickly pride, determined to prove with a sword that he was worth as much as the heir.

Those who knew him described a red-haired, valiant, and adventurous young man, as quarrelsome as Kermit, quicker to a fight than to caution.

When Lord Grover Tully, his great-grandfather, died, House Tully finally committed to the Dance of the Dragons, putting nearly six thousand men into the service of Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen. The war cost the family dearly: his father, Lord Elmo, died after drinking tainted water, and Kermit became the new Lord of Riverrun.

In the battle of the Kingsroad, Oscar killed three men and, once the fighting was over, was knighted.

In 131 AC he arrived with the riverlands host at the gates of King's Landing. They feared having to face Lord Corlys Velaryon, a siege, or an assault on the city, but instead came word that Aegon II Targaryen was dead.

On hearing it, Oscar and the rest swore their loyalty to the new king, Aegon III Targaryen.

That same year, Ser Oscar left Westeros for Essos, where he founded his own mercenary company, the Rompetormentas.
