Medgar Tully
Medgar Tully was Lord of Riverrun and Lord Paramount of the Trident during the reign of Daeron II Targaryen, head of House Tully.
Little survives of his time in the seat besides one tournament, the one held at Ashford, where he tested his lance and his sword against other knights of the realm.
Chapter 1
The Hedge Knight
Medgar rode into the tournament at Ashford wearing his house's colors: a cloak striped blue and red, pinned at each shoulder with a silver trout.
In his first tilt he challenged Ser Humfrey Hardyng and was unhorsed at the first pass. He sought to make it up with the sword, but came off worse in that bout as well.
Chapter 2
The Sworn Sword
209 AC
Medgar is believed to have died shortly after the tournament, during the Great Spring Sickness, though the exact date is not known for certain.
Two years later word came that the new Lord of Riverrun was an eight-year-old boy, which suggests that by then Medgar was already dead.
