Elaena Targaryen wife of Aenar

Elaena was one of Aenar Targaryen's wives and the mother of at least one of his daughters, Daenys, the girl whose dream warned the Targaryens of the Doom twelve years before it fell on Valyria.

Through that daughter and her marriage to her own brother, Gaemon, much of the Targaryen line that came to rule in Westeros descends from her too.

According to that document, Daenys went to her mother before anyone else when she had the dream foretelling Valyria's ruin.

Elaena carried it to Aenar, and he was the one who decided the family would leave for Dragonstone.

Family standing mattered greatly to Elaena, and the move felt like exile to her. She blamed Aenar for it and never forgave him.

She consoled herself the only way she could: spending on jewels and dresses.
