Coronation of Joffrey I
coronación de Joffrey I
The coronation of Joffrey I in King's Landing, in 298 AC, makes the elder son of Queen Cersei Lannister king of the Seven Kingdoms. His mother rises with him, named queen regent, and a new court fills the offices left open by the change of throne.
The ceremony settles nothing: several great lords refuse to recognize the new king and raise their own claims, and the War of the Five Kings begins.
